Day-to-day, I track what's driving property and motor claims complaints through Power BI — surfacing the trends that help the business improve how customers experience the claims process. I've built automated data pipelines in Python and SQL, and used techniques like logistic regression and survival analysis to understand why customers complain early and what we can act on before it escalates. A big part of my role is making sure insights don't just sit in a dashboard — they actually drive decisions. More recently I've been part of the Prevention taskforce, analysing the uptake and impact of the Allianz Prevention Program — tracking how it flows through claims frequency, NPS, complaints, and retention.

When Allianz's Data and Analytics division was formed in late 2023, 3C was established shortly after to build community with in a newly unified team. As Co-Chair, I lead a growing calendar of events - from Desk2Domain (our City2Surf-inspired fitness challenge) to Diwali, Lunar New Year, Harmony Day, and more. The impact has been tangible: community-related metrics in Allianz's internal customer results have improved year-on-year since the club's inception.

This role covered a broad remit — regular and ad hoc reporting in SAS and SQL across all products and services, alongside dashboards in MicroStrategy and Excel to support product, pricing, and underwriting decisions. I also partnered closely with the Underwriting team to hit geocoding targets set by Group, which made a meaningful difference to the accuracy of our geospatial analysis. A quieter but equally important part of the work was revisiting legacy reports that hadn't kept pace with newer product launches — identifying where data accuracy had drifted and bringing everything back into line with current business realities.

2021–2023

Much of this role centred on modernising the tooling and processes the Agencies function relied on — while BAU was largely agency governance and compliance, I specialised in data automation and analysis across the team. I automated reporting pipelines from ChangeTower using Power Query, migrated BAU task trackers from Excel into SharePoint Lists, and built dashboards to support them. I developed Power Automate flows to generate weekly stakeholder reports on upcoming and overdue tasks, and led the build of the Agencies' internal SharePoint site — including migrating external agency sites from ShareFile to improve collaboration across distribution partners. I also partnered with the Data Office to ingest Agencies' functional reports and data elements into Collibra, and transitioned the quarterly attestation process from Excel into Qualtrics.

During my time in the IT team, I worked across project delivery and gained early exposure to data governance tooling — including hands-on experience with Collibra. It was a useful window into how a large insurer's technology environment operates at scale, and it reinforced how I think about systems and process.

Claims Support Officer, Liability Claims

2019–2021

Liability Claims was where my Allianz career began, and it turned out to be a solid foundation for everything that followed. Day-to-day, I coordinated between claimants, assessors, and legal teams to keep files progressing — accurately and on time, across a high-volume, detail-sensitive caseload. Working that close to the operational side of insurance gave me a grounded understanding of the business that continues to inform how I approach data work today.

Volunteering

My passion for musical theatre began in high school, where I studied both drama and entertainment, spending as much time in rehearsals as I did in the wings. I started as a performer, but it was backstage — managing logistics, coordinating crew, and stage managing our annual musical in my final year — where I found my real calling. Volunteering keeps me connected to that world, while also giving me a space to do what I love most professionally: working with data and finding the stories numbers tell.
